There is a saying that when one is tired of London, one is tired of life. I wouldn't know, I'm neither. Here's last weekend's trip summary!

Got up way too early on Saturday to head for Rotterdam Airport. The flight was quite uneventful but it was great of Jay to come pick me up at London City airport.

We took a train to Harrow so I could drop my stuff at his place and then met up with Flora (hey babe!) with whom we went back to central London. Camden lock was once again showing both the best of Britain and the worst of Britain. The best being snogs with Jay and Connie, the worst being the typical disorderly behaviour drunken teenagers are known for. (Actually, it wasn't that bad except for a single cat fight. Fun.)

It was sad to see the damage done to the canal market in last week's fire, but fortunately most of Camden is still around and back to business as usual. Bought a tie (punk, not emo) at Cyberdog and a new taper as I somehow lost my old one. Just checked and it's not even in bed where I expected I lost it. Random bit: KFC's chicken popcorn still rocks.

In the evening Jay and I went to Sohofor a gig featuring Super Smile at the Spice of Life. I remember more about the tequila than the actual performance.. but I do recall it was quite good.

On Sunday we got up surprisingly early and after a wonderful full English in Harrow we returned to Camden market as I had to do some shopping - including getting Rachel a birthday present. Succeeded.

Drank some more Jägermeister and beer at the Hobgoblin pub where we met up with Laura (who could come after all) and Tashia before proceeding to the main reason for my trip: the Exit Avenue gig at the Barfly.

The gig was absolutely awesome. I hadn't seen Exit Avenue since the Storm gig a year and a half ago and their live show has well improved. The lads were well proud to have someone flying over from Holland just to see them and I have the signed CD with personal message to prove it.

On the friends front, Rachel liked the presents (plural, I had a few leftovers from the past years) but apparently me being away for so long to have a fag and give them to her upset Laura a bit. But Laura and I, well, that's a story on its own.

On Monday, Jay had to babysit so I went to the World's End on my own and drank a few pints. Met up with Flora again (thanks for saying bye babe).

A few pints? Maybe a few too many is more like it as I got quite whorish: at the lock I got off with basically anything and anyone able to walk, talk or just be there. I won't be mentioning any names because I only know four out of six anyway.

Which basically concludes the trip, what followed is another flight (delayed one hour because those traveling to Antwerp were moved to our flight) and the regular Monday night bingo at the pub where I made even more sure my tongue was blue from WKD blue.

All in all a great trip.

It's strange reading about your trips to London. All those places you visit, I've been going to... forever. You won't believe the number of times I've been running around Harrow

You are still, hands down, the worst flirt I have ever met. Still going strong at 30 I'll probably be settled down with a kid and a labrador at that age, boring ass that I am.
