A Day to Remember are a pop-punk/hardcore band hailing from Ocala, Florida. Band members Jeremy McKinnon (vocals), Neil Westfall (guitar), Tom Denney (guitar), Joshua Woodard (bass guitar) and Alex Shellnutt (drums) had been playing in several bands for years before forming A Day to Remember in 2003. They released their debut album, ‘And Their Name Was Treason’, in May 2005 and although it didn’t spawn any singles, it put A Day to Remember on the map in the music scene. After touring extensively for a year and selling 8000 copies on word of mouth alone, A Day to Remember were spotted during a gig and were asked to do a showcase for Victory Records. They soon switched from Indianola Records to Victory Records and recorded their second album, ‘For Those Who Have Heart’ in the same pop-mosh style as their debut album. Immediately after the recording process was finished, A Day to Remember hit the road again and embarked on even more extensive tour. September 2007 saw the cover of Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Since U Been Gone’ being posted on the band’s MySpace account, which was received well by the fans. This track was included on the re-recording of ‘For Those Who Have Heart’, which was released in February 2008. A Day to Remember started their first European tour in early 2008 and are scheduled to play Bamboozle Festival and Vans Warped Tour in the same year.
